Brendan WoodsBrendan Woods is Managing Director of NWP. He has over 16 years experience in waste management, recycling and composting. Brendan is responsible for the overall day-to-day organisation of the company. 

Brendan is responsible for the strategic and innovation planning for the company. A former Member of the Waste Management Advisory Board for Northern Ireland he has worked closely with numerous agencies and councils to improve the recycling targets to ensure that environmental policies in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland are being aggressively pursued. He is also a board member of the ARENA Network and the Local Strategy Partnership for Armagh District Council. Brendan holds a CoTC in Management of Composting Facilities and Management of Hazardous Wastes.

 
Caolan WoodsCaolan Woods is Contracts Manager for NWP. He has over seven years experience of working within a compost production facility, managing teams of staff and meeting quality production schedules. Caolan is competent in the operation of all equipment and technology employed on site, inspection of input and output materials.


Caolan has responsibility for the overall management of the Composting Site and ensuring that customer, company, staff, legal and environmental requirements are met. During his time at NWP, Caolan has overseen the design and construction of the GICOM Invessel Composting facility at the Keady Site. On a voluntary basis, Caolan is a board member of CRE the Irish Composting Association and a regular Compost Speaker at WRAP Conferences and events. He has a HND in Horticulture and Soil Management, and is a qualified A1 assessor, internal IMS systems auditor. He is currently completing his CoTC in the Management of Composting Facilities with WAMITAB.


Aoife WoodsAoife Woods is Administration, Finance and Personnel Manager at NWP and is based at their Head Office in Portadown. Aoife has been with NWP for over three years, prior to this she worked for CCC Technology as a Software Engineer where she managed a team of four software testers. Aoife’s role at NWP includes finance, contracts, documentation and personnel management. Aoife is also responsible for the maintenance of the ISO systems and NWP's staff training and development programme. Aoife has an MSc in Computer Information Systems, a BSc in Business and Finance, and has completed her CoTC in Management of Composting Operations and Facilities. She was the first to achieve this qualification in Northern Ireland and second in the UK. She is also a qualified internal ISO auditor. In addition to this, Aoife was the Chairperson of the South East Region for the Federation of Small Businesses in Northern Ireland with over 800 members in her area.


Shane Woods is NWP’s WEEE Contract Manager. He is responsible for client liaison and contract performance in relation to collections. Shane is highly experienced and holds an Engineering Degree from the Queens University Belfast. Before joining NWP Shane worked in Bombardier as a project engineer. Shane has undertaken significant research work to help NWP understand the needs and legislative requirements when working within the waste management sector. He works closely with all NWP client sites to ensure that NWP offer their clients a quality service. 

Alistair Dunwoody is Site and Quality Manager at NWP’s Composting Site in Keady. Alistair has three years experience of working in the Composting Industry in Northern Ireland. After initially working in the production side of the business he transferred to Sales and Marketing and has built an impressive sales portfolio of customers throughout Ireland. In 2005 demand for the NWP products outstripped supply. Alistair has been an integral part of the HACCP team for both ABPO Approval of the site and continuing PAS100 certification of products. To date he has been successful in the development of new high value markets, has worked closely with WRAP to promote compost use and worked with the Composting Association to ensure PAS100 compliance. Alistair has a HND in Horticulture and is currently completing his CoTC in the Management of Composting Facilities with WAMITAB. He has also completed several WRAP Compost Courses including Compost Marketing, Compost Quality, PAS 100 production Standard.


Ailbhe Woods is NWP's Integrated Management System Manager. Ailbhe has recently joined  after completing a degree in Environmental Management and Technology in Edinburgh. She is currently working on the ISO Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety Systems for NWP's sites and has successfully overseen the implementation of these standards at NWP's new sites in 2006.
